Microsoft PMs - I need your help

I know that a number of Microsoft developers and PMs reads this blog. Today's the day I'm going to ask you for help. I'd like to take the BinaryFormatter and the TcpChannel from Rotor and try some different performance optimization strategies. If I succeed, I'd like to work together with you to release the modified parts with a no-warranties open-source license which is compatible with the use in "real" applications. I don't want to make any money from it but I certainly wouldn't want to work on any optimizations which can't be used in real applications due to the limitations of the SSCLI license. Any chance? Whom should I contact? Will they listen to me?
